rectocele repair pain

Had a recocele repair sugery 2 years ago and still in awful pain. Cant sit or sleep for pelvic and bottom pain. Been put on antidepressant because I cant sleep for nerve pain. Anyon else has this problem?

I had posterior rectocele surgery about 11 years ago. I had pain only until surgical area was healed, about 3-4 weeks. Nothing since.

Did you have anterior rectocele or posterior rectocele? Or both?
I understand there are more complications with the anterior area. Sometimes a sling is put in and causes problems.

If you had a posterior rectocele, one option might be to see a colorectal specialist with a good reputation. It was the colorectal doctor that found mine, although he did not do the surgery. But that doctor MIGHT be better at diagnosing the pain issue.
