I see on Dr. Google that coffee isn't good for those of us with EPI. I don't think I can give up my morning coffee and wine as well! Does anyone still have a glass of wine occasionally or is that really dangerous? I'm new to this diet and I find it challenging. @debhammel, I also have diarrhea and you have both collagenous colitis as well. I won't complain.

@j18 The ‘no alcohol’ suggestion is mostly because of your liver. The creon and alcohol harm the liver so it’s best to stay away. I’m not sure about the coffee, but I can find out.
I’m on creon, also, and have some of my husband’s wine occasionally. I have an appointment next week so I’ll find out (Gee, I’m going to be doing a lot of ‘finding out’!

I have been told by my doctors that wine is no-no! About coffee, it stimulates acid production and can sometimes increase digestive disconfort or exacerbate symptoms like bloating or diarrhea. But is not inherently bad, it just depends on your indiviluar situation. I drink coffee every morning and I dont have any problems.
