Has anyone used methylene blue alone or with steroids/immunologics for PMR?

I am an ICU nurse and I have PMR. not able to take prednisone adrenal insufficiency and ET. METHOTREXATE saved my life. Much less side effects than prednisone. That with hydrocortisone was the answer for me. Good luck

@reptar Yes, methotrexate works well with some people and not with others for PMR. After two years it effectively poisoned me, resulting in high fevers, pancytopenia, and inflamed spleen and pancreas. It needs to be monitored very carefully with frequent blood tests and responsive doctors. During that same period the side effects from prednisone have been effectively zero. PMR is such an individual illness - no one size fits all when it comes to what medication helps the most and impacts on general health the least.
