Hi again...I also had a gastric by pass 20 yrs ago, hysterectomy, have inflammatory RA, Sjogren’s, and nobody has suggested I find the cause of my dilemma... you all seem very educated about your needs and research must have helped... I just hope I find the right path before I have a fracture...I am not sure where to start but does anyone feel it necessary to go to endocrinologist or an osteoporosis clinic....

Yes, either go to an endocrinologist or some rheumatologists deal with osteoporosis. You must be seeing a rheumatologist for your RA and Sjogren's.
I resisted treating my osteoporosis because of a long history of adverse drug reactions. The last bone density showed such a dramatic loss of bone that I realized I better start doing something immediately. I am 64 now.

I highly recommend a consult with an endocrinologist. My internist described endocrinologists as the IT team of the body. They are incredibly smart and have to know how all the body systems work together. If you have not seen one yet why not ask for a referral?

I don't think you will be disappointed.
