My wife has had BRP for a good 20 years. Nothing has helped. Her Dermatologist had suggested Capacian. Since that burns she adds Ebanol - which is a numbing creme. Since the BRP is on many parts of her body she does put both on her scalp. Only thing that helps.
We ahve been to too many Drs, Dermatologists, Allergist, Light rtreatments, -Acupuncture -- nothing has helped but the capacian. Not a cure only temporary relief.
Went to a Neurologists and he totally rejected the "disc" theory. Never heard of such a thing and wrote a nasty letter to the Dermatologist for even suggesting it.

Wow. It does act up more at night too..and it can be worse on one side at times than the other.
I do believe putting iice pack can help however if it's convenient.
It's very annoying..can a strong antihistamine help? My doc gave me Atarax. I had that for hives years ago and it was the only thing that helped
