Question about constant utis or what they say isn't a uti now

I think it is best to see a urologist since standard tests don't show UTI. It could be kidney stones, a kidney infection or something like painful bladder syndrome. The urologist might send you to do some blood tests to check your CRP, sedimentation rate or to check the function of your kidneys.
Did you do any blood tests?

I’m a long time UTI sufferer and will offer you my 2cents! Bactrum and Macrodantin are two light-weight antibiotics. You probably need a more powerful antibiotic for 7-10 days. Be sure you are taking them as directed, abstaining from alcohol, drinking water (filtered H2O is best), cranberry juice helps bladder, resting often, and good diet.
Asking for a Urine Culture when you 1st feel UTI symptoms will give Dr results of the particular bacteria causing the UTI and a list of antibiotics that will attack your bacteria. It is very important to call DR if the symptoms of UTI continue! Kidney stones are also a possibility. I have experience there too :-(.
Take these symptoms as a warning that you need to take better care of your body. Change your life-style, diet, exercise routine… you only have one life and your overall health allows Happy Days Ahead!

my Urologist recommended "Ellura"..look it up online..pricey But!! it works fast..I used it first then went to the cheaper stuff,,Check it out, you'll be glad you did..Good Luck

You need to see a urologist, or if you already have, a different one. It can be an infection that is caused by bacteria that a standard lab test didn't catch. It takes a detailed examination by a urologist. You are probably sick of it, it is very frustrating. So, you need to push and find a cause

I also had recurring UTI's. My urologist referred me to a urogynecologist. She prescribed a preventive medication, methenamine hippurate. No UTI's since!

Hi! I’m having a lot of UTI’s as well. I just made an appointment with a urologist. I’m currently on Vantin, I hope it helps! I have had so many UTI’s my whole life, I’m 58, post-menopause and post-hysterectomy. Anyway, I’m undergoing skin cancer radiation treatments now and I think that is lowering my immune system…I’m also post-COVID (had it bad this past summer.). I can’t wait to feel better, my kidneys just feel enlarged for some reason? I’m drinking a lot of water, I’ll drink more cranberry juice too…I’m also a staph carrier, so there’s that too. @ryder0413: Hi again! I just wanted to inquire about your new medication for UTIs. I was prescribed Hyophen- blue pills that make your pee blue. It was touted as an antibacterial agent that helped prevent infection in bladder. It isn’t available to me anymore, but the pharmacist found Uribel to fill the rx. Uribel tablets are “identical in shape, color, effect, etc”. Thus rx is not covered by insurance due to lacking FDA approval of UTI usage. I use my various rx discount cards to get best price, but it is over $250 for 120 pills.

Find a urogynecologist if you can. I had not heard of this type doctor until recently.
