Is a troponin test high at 188 with HCM

Both my Troponin and BNP readings are higher than those of healthy heart people, yet they are normal for me. They are measures of different proteins produced when 'heart failure" occurs. Besides heart attacks, HCM, heart surgery, there are probably many other things that can cause these numbers to be high. Please talk to your care team about this to ease your mind. I did, mine appreciated that I did a little research and asked questions.

@walkinggirl I am waiting for my cardiologist to send me the write up. At my last consult, the result wasn't available. It's just that in 20 years previous cardiologists have never done the BNP or Troponin test so I have zero history. Logically, if everything else is consistent (apart from LA dia which has increased) then these blood test results should be consistent too. He wasn't worried about BNP and said that was normal for me at 900+ but he also said he expected that Troponin would be normal which it isn't. Thanks for the reply. Keep well.
