Have Apple Watch, miss my Fitbit display: Do you use watch monitor?
I have Apple Watch but came from using Fitbit versa for years. The versa failed. The problem is that I liked the Versa default display with steps, time of day, and heart rate continuously updated. I must be using the watch wrong because can not get the watch to come up and stay with above display, except by waiting for heart rate to be updated and scrolling through multiple screens. Has anyone solved this because I need to know my heart rate for safety and an effective workout?

You may need to be on Bluetooth or Apple equivalent and have a health app active at the time.
I don't think you can do it by the iWatch itself but you can use an app like Cardiogram or Steps - https://blog.cardiogr.am/how-to-continuously-record-heart-rate-on-your-apple-watch-a01bbc93b6ad.
Im on Fitbit Versa 3 because it’s so basic and easy to use! I feel your pain 😆 I just Googled “Apple health data on watch face” and this is part of the AI summary. You do need the Apple health app and you can customise your watch face either on the app or using settings on your watch face.
Good luck. I’m sure it’ll be great once you get across all the possibilities
I believe you can have your watch display all that you listed. All Apple watch changes are made from the “watch” app that you need on your iPhone. I REALLY enjoy my Apple watch. The stats that I can view from the “activities” app are pretty amazing.
The lack of directions received for so many products is pitiful. But i guess on the bright side, I have to use my brain more to figure this stuff out. If you can find a customer service phone number, generally their customer service is great. Or if you live near a city with an Apple store, you can make an appointment there to go over things. Good luck! I hope you enjoy your watch.
Yes I have both ( don't use fitbit anymore). the Iwatch has several watch faces that will show you your health stats. You have to set it up in your settings or preferences on your iphone using the watch app.
@willow5 thanks. Was trying to change watch from watch itself
Yes, as did I for a very long time 😂. i wish we could change it on an iPad. last time i checked it was only through the phone.
Which Apple Watch do you all have. Am considering getting one.
I loved my Apple Watch. I went thru 4 of them. Only because I used so many of the functions, they don't last as long. If you customize the face of the watch with what you want displayed it will always be right there for you. I had the exercise rings on the face. Once you touch that it gives you the display with what you have done or if you are setting it for specific exercise.
Kaliope, my watch was dying almost a year ago and I didn't buy another. I had/have been so plugged into time I wanted to see if I could deal without a watch.I worked by appt so keeping track of time, sometimes even down to 15 minute increments was vital. I knew I'd be retiring and wanted to be off the clock. I still debate getting another watch. I loved the reminders to move, I loved getting a text and being able to answer it on my watch. The wallet function is great too. My daughter always told me to get the latest version as that would have the most updated info I would need. She bought me my first watch. I would have never bought one, thinking it too extravagant plus, I'm not really a tech person. I loved it so much that when the battery started to go I bought another. The batteries usually lasted me 3 years or more. My last couple had cellular capabilities. I liked the freedom of not having my phone close by. I run early in the morning too, so it was a safety feature that I could have made a phone call if I needed.
Been wearing a Fitbit for 5 years, never thought that I would ever wear. My walking goal is 5000 steps and I achieve that goal 90 percent of the time. At 83, I credit the motivation to walk and achieving the goal as a factor in my health and blood pressure management. An Afid notice showing up one morning scared me to death after not seeing until bedtime so I went to the emergency room and it was a false alarm.
