Lumbar ablation to relieve pain.
I had a lumbar steroid injection a while back. It only relieved pain for a few days. I am wondering if anyone has had a lumbar ablation, and if so was it successful?

I'm thinking that you are referring to a nerve ablation. After my fall I had several injections which helped for about three weeks. Then I had RF ablations on my L5-S1 nerves. No help. Hope this answers your question.
I'm in the process. So far I've had the medial branch block. Not sure what that's supposed to show. Sue to various factors I'm not scheduled for my next appt for a couple more weeks.
I had a lumbar ablation and it lasted me about 2 weeks.
I had RFA in July 2025. It lasted until August of this year. I just had RFA again the end of September. It hasn’t done quite as well so far, but I am also taking care of my husband who had double TLIF surgery mid September which has continued to strain my lower back. I do have some relief.
