Toddler with recurrent rash on legs after playing in soil
My daughter is 1 year and 9 months old. While playing in the dirt, she buried her leg in the soil. After returning home, I noticed some roughness on her leg, and the next day, small bumps appeared on her thigh. Two days later, these bumps became raised, red, and swollen, and some spread to other areas of her right leg.
Over the course of about a month, the bumps began to subside and disappear. However, new bumps suddenly appeared in the same shape on her knee, then on her left leg, and some also reappeared in the original area on her right leg.
She does not experience constant itching, only occasionally a few times a day. She has no fever, fatigue, or discomfort. She is active, has a good appetite, and her bowel movements are normal. The bumps appear and disappear periodically, without any additional symptoms.
Can anyone understand what my daughter's condition is?
Thank you.

There are many components in soil. That could be chemicals, insects, and other things.
If it was me, I would take pictures of it and send it to my doctor
It could be an allergy reaction to something
Were you at a park or in your yard? I do know there are a lot of chemicals. They spray on the grass and parks. And if you were at a park, people with their pets, could have parasites. Be careful
At the Mayo Clinic their portal, you could take pictures and send it to your doctor, I’ve done this a few times and it has helped to get things figured out for myself
@minnesota10 Thank you so much for your message and It wasn't a park - it was actually farmland in a rural area.
We already took her to two different doctors, but they couldn't clearly identify what it is. They just gave her an antihistamine and said it might be some kind of skin inflammation. Has anyone here experienced something similar with their child? I'd really appreciate hearing about it.
Did you consult an experienced dermatologist.
It is always a concern if the soil may have been contaminated with animal waste.
Taking photos is very helpful for diagnosing recurring skin issues.
@seniormed "Yes, I consulted two experienced dermatologists, but I felt that they didn't diagnose my condition properly. They just said it was dermatitis. I have photos, but I can't attach them to the post."
@minnesota10
I grew up on the farm with cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, and so on.
I know this is stressful for you because we don’t want our children to have to deal with anything With hives or anything else.
I guess one of those kids growing up and today I still have to be careful. Many years ago, I found a good dermatology doctor, but he has now retired
Keep an eye open and something will pop out at you
Wish the best for all of you
