Evenity and side effects: What helps joint and muscle pain?
Hi All,
I received my first Evenity injection two weeks ago. Everything was going well, did not even have injection site pain. But the last couple of days I have had joint and muscle pain especially in my neck and upper back, Lower back and arms. I've read the drug peaks around 7 to 14 days. I am wondering if this is normal, has anyone else experienced this and if these side effects subside? Is there anything you take before or after the injection to relieve this pain? It is very uncomfortable. Thank you!

It has been 3 weeks on Monday from last Evenity injections. I am still in severe pain and can't walk. This isn't me.
I have stopped Evenity after 8th treatment. Starting Fosamax in pill form in November.

2 ReactionsEvenity manufacturer does not care. They kindly take notes of our adverse reactions. They manufacture Prolia so I am afraid to start that drug that has the same side effects.
Evenity has a 64 day shelf life in our body. I hope the side effects go away soon. I am having a hard time with the severe pain.

I stopped after my 8th treatment. 2 weeks to the day of the 8th treatment my right arm went numb down to my fingers. The pain was so bad and it happened in an instant at work. I had a colonoscopy the next morning and possibly the IV helped reduce my pain and swelling in my arm

2 ReactionsWeek three after 8th injection of Evenity, my left breast is itching terribly.
I seem to get another side effect on top of the ones that haven't gone away.

3 Reactions@hammondp2 thank you. I have felt like no one had this but me until finding this site. We are not crazy people or hypochondriacs, but just want our normal life back. I pray that you feel much better soon

6 ReactionsI am going for injection #6 tomorrow. Initially my symptoms for the first 4 injections were long COVID type symptoms combined with mental health issues; which also occurred while attempting a course of Forteo.
The last 2 months have been horrific bone & connective tissue type issues. A severe recurrence of Achilles Tendinitis, neck & back spasms, hip pain, pain in my pelvic bone; especially the ischial tuberosity area (saddle bones). Just makes me feel old & achy. I also have to have a tooth extraction.
I’m a hot mess. I’ve only been taking Tylenol & muscle relaxers. Trying to tough this out, but getting weary. And my husband had to take over the heavy lifting & bending chores. This is NOT me at all, I’ve always been the strong armed woman who could handle & move 50 to 75 lbs no problem. I’m a wet dishcloth now, wrung out. Hoping I can make it to #12, but it’s questionable. Hope this helps someone else in pain to know you’re not alone. Grateful to have connected to this group, if only to gripe !

5 ReactionsAll of the above sounds like me.. on and off. Going for #9 on Friday. I am also tapering off very high doses of Prednisone and that’s a whole new world of horrible neck, hips, back pain. Bless us all~

I hope you feel better soon. I can't even think of having my 9th treatment. My pain is so severe and fearful of adding any more new pains.
