Can chronic itching be caused by Neuropathy?

1)Are you a female of menopausal age? If so, it might be that. Test your hormones. Try progesterone cream, etc.
2) Do you have an older mattress. I did. Found I have an allergy to dust mites. The itching from the dust mites/old mattress was intense. Threw the mattress to the curb and cleaned the bed frame and bed room. Another person I knew told me that they had the problem with their mattress too.
