Kaleidoscope vision?

I’ve done some research on this topic but there’s not a lot known to date about this particular issue, it comes from the brain and has nothing to do with the eyes, also it seems to be hereditary. I am always a little concerned when they come up, my episodes are usually about 15-20 minutes in duration but I’ve read that some people have longer episodes complete with vision loss and severe headaches, this would be a terrible time for them.

I also get them on occasion (Keliedescope) and they last about 1/2 hour and after that I will get a mild headache.
I wish I could tell what is the cause, I am thinking it is caused when I have been doing strenuous work and gets my neck sore.--Due to me having neck degenerative issues.
