The best socks for neuropathy
I have idiopathic neuropathy in my hands and feet. Nobody knows why or seems to care other than putting me on gabapentin, which makes me feel like a zombie. I have to wear socks at all times, even in bed. I can't seem to find the right ones that will work for me and elliviate some pain. I DON'T like the toeless kind. Any suggestions out there on what's worked for you? Thank you in advance.

Welcome @crazycatlady4110, I have to wear compression socks during the day but also wear looser fitting socks at night because of an accident I had one night of rubbing my feet together while sleeping and having a bad toenail open a vein in my ankle. This led to an ambulance trip to the ER from the non stop bleeding. I've found that a softer material like bamboo fiber socks feel better on my feet. I also put a moisturizer lotion on my feet each night before putting the socks on. You might want to check out this other discussion to learn what others have shared.

@johnbishop Oh wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you, it sounds awful! Thank you for this information, I appreciate it. I will check out the other discussion as well. Have a great day!
My understanding is the tight compression socks are for those with a blood flow issue, and loose diabetic socks are for nerve issues. Since I have PN, and my blood flow is fine (measured by ankle pulse), I wear the loose diabetic socks.
@allessio77 so which loose diabetic socks do you get?
I use these:

@crazycatlady4110
I am a woman and I splurge every year and get myself cashmere socks https://www.garnethill.com/ProductSearch2?searchTerm=cashmere%20socks.
I live in a colder climate and these are a godsend in wintertime. In summer I can usually get by barefoot (Iknow, I know I really shouldn't but I'm a barefoot kind of girl 😉 ) or with cotton Wigwam socks. They are not nonskid.
I wintertime I wear shearling moccasins from LLbean around the house, they're really wonderful! At night when I'm relaxing and watching TV/reading I wear Wigwam Diabetic thick house socks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001N1841M?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k2_1_6&=&crid=2GOG6HEHYOUL7&sprefix=wigwam&th=1&psc=1
These are VEY thick and slouchy, not meant for under shoes or boots IMO, and they aren't nonslip either. If you need nonskid socks maybe try Bombas.
In bed in the wintertime I wear cashmere bed socks from The White Company. I know everything I just suggested is pricey but my feet are SO sensitive and cold that I have found through trial and error that this is what works for me. Good luck!
These are great when I bought the Copper foot from my middle foot to the top of my knee (sp?). It keeps adds warm of my bottom foot. It’s not add my foot but putting my body/brain controls is great!
Sorry, I added a luxury on my iPhone but not to my it’s…
