Anxiety waves in sleep

Posted by esikora @esikora, Oct 3, 2025

For several years now, I have been experiencing anxiety/adrenaline waves from 5 am until 7,when I get out of bed. I have come to accept that as "normal". Now I'm starting to get the same thing all night. As I drift off I get an awful feeling ,then I wake up a little and the cycle repeats throughout the night.
Anyone dealing with anything similar? I'm so tired of living in fear,

Have you talked to your doctor about taking something that helps with sleep and anxiety. I have really bad sleeping habits due to anxiety and I was given trazodone to help.

I am experiencing the same things -- waking up often in pain and working hard to sooth myself so I can go back to sleep. I find them frightening. I am taking gabapentin and clozapam and yet they still come and are stronger when I don't exercise or am with a chatty person. Have you found a solution. I hope you are free from these experiences now.
