I also had a breast reduction of 8lbs in February and a 3cm grade 2 tumor (no DCIS) was found in the right breast (after a negative mammogram in December). One lymph node was negative. I then had an MRI with contrast to make sure there was no cancer cells left behind; then surgery to remove 6 lymph nodes that were negative. Finished 5 days of radiation in August. It is a huge shock to find a tumor after breast reduction surgery. I’m so thankful that I had the surgery.
