@shelby29 my oral pathologist finally prescribed Lyderm gel (used off label) and so far that has been the only hiring that has helped for my lichen planus. It is meant to be used for just seven days, but my OLP was so bad it took ten days to clear. Now I use it only occasionally, when I have a flare.
In the meantime, try pure coconut oil on your lips. I find my lips and corners or my mouth get very dry and cracked, especially in cold weather (I live in Canada!) and coconut oil helps a lot. Because I tend to bite and lick my lips a lot, I feel coconut oil is a safer bet for me because it is food grade. I apply it before bed too.
If you are a Costco member, Kirkland brand coconut oil is the most value for your money. I use coconut oil as moisturizer all over my body too.
