@devoted1 - I wanted to let you know I moved your post here where others were talking about ischemic stroke. Hoping they can let you know if they or a loved one is going through the same thing recovering from this and provide encouragement. Please meet @grrranny @g1315 @dianestjohn @marcye14 and others.

I'm sorry to hear this stroke was traumatic. Strokes can be life-altering. That is true. Glad to hear yours was mild.

How is the hand recovery going? How is your emotional state?

Thankyou for your thoughtfully help. You are appreciated.
A tad embarrassed. I was usually the one routing people on into a positive state. So, I've gently removed myself from the site lately. I will say, however, I find I get so much more than I give.
Hand has healed. But, every now and then, I find the physical scars heal so much easier than the emotional scars attached to them. This is life. I find moving forward, away from past trauma is the answer for me. Just get my feet stuck in the mud every now and then. ☺️. Thankyou again just for plum caring. Diane

I still have some issues with my right hand. Holding anything can sometimes become challenging; especially a pen to write my name, but it gradually improving. My emotional state is so much better. Not crying at the drop of a hat anymore! Glad to be somewhat over the hump in my life. Still progressing with God's help.
