@worriedone , I've been thru 2 days of head and neck MRIs here at Mayo, and they have pronounced me tumor-free in my skull base, and tumor-free on my carotid artery after July's surgery. Am over the moon with that; i don't have to return for that because the paraganglioma tumor they took off my carotid artery was never secreting hormones and it is COMPLETELY gone w no evidence of metastasis. Now, today we deal w the kidneys. Blood draw in an hour, followed by CTs of chest, abdomen, pelvis. Yesterday when I met w neurosurgeon, they were surprised a throat scoping had not been set up, with my increasingly sore throat, increasingly piercing ear pain, and increased seeming growth of that wad of gauze feeling in my throat. Trying to squeeze a scoping in b4 we fly home tomorrow. If not able to, I'll have home ENT do it; any abnormal results and I'll tell Mayo ENT and neuro.
I feel for you, waiting for results. Here, after any scans, blood draws, consults, etc., the results are generally posted to MyChart portal within 2 hours... Definitely not like home where sometimes its a wait of well over a week.
