I need HELP from ya”ll. My M Protein is . 5. can I get it to come down, I’m scared crazy. No symptoms, I DO BELIEVE IN GOD, I know he will be with me, but would Live to get to know others with same issue. Thank You.
I wouldn’t worry about it just talk to your dr. I am 75 had m spike a year ago for 1st time .7 Follow up every 3 mths and it has varied between .5 and .7. My oncologist believes it’s related to inflammation as I have other autoimmune issues with very high inflammation numbers. Yes it can go down and dependent on reason can go away. It’s not that uncommon and at this point likely something dr will just watch and monitor. Talk to your dr he will put you at ease.
I have a M spike of .04
I have read a plant based diet helps,. I have tried ivermectin which didn't make a difference
Do you have multiple myeloma?
hi @sally4910
MGUS typically doesn't become a concern for the majority of us. Only 1% of MGUS patients progress to Multiple Myeloma in one year. My own level is 1.3g/dL and has been around that level for a few years now.
I suggest checking out Mayo Clinic's page on MGUS as a starting point.

Ultimately, this is a waiting game. There is another chat (I think it's called "Anyone else diagnosed with MGUS" or something like that) that has many people sharing their experiences. It might help sooth your anxiety.
I certainly was wound up when I first was diagnosed. But I've come to understand that this may not turn into anything. I just have to keep an eye on it just to make sure I don't fall into that 1%.
I hope this helped a little.
The other chat: Does anyone else have MGUS.
