Medications for Osteoporosis

I see new Discussions started on medications for osteoporosis several times each week. These new Discussions range from kinds of medications recommended by your physician to side effects of osteoporosis medications.

There is a tremendous amount of wisdom on this topic in our Osteoporosis and Bone Health Support Group. I'd like to suggest that we all go down the list of this support group - Osteoporosis and Bone Health - and look at the topics. Open up a topic and then read what has already been posted and discussed. You may find answers to your question that have already been posted. Or you may decide to add your question to an existing Discussion.

For those who are new to this support group:

On the main page of “Osteoporosis & Bone Health Support Group”, look for the words “Search discussions”

Just below that, you’ll see a box - this is the search bar

Click inside the box and type in a keyword or phrase about your topic. For example: “Reclast side effects"

Press Enter (or click the little magnifying glass), and a list of past discussions (threads) will appear.

Many subjects have already been covered in detail - sometimes extensively - so you may find helpful personal stories and insights right away 🙂

I take 70mg. of Alendronate weekly (every Saturday). Yesterday was hectic and I forgot to put my meds away. Today, I saw the box out and accidentally took a second dose the day after my first dose yesterday. How worried should I be? Can't reach my dr. until tomorrow...
