I’m so glad I came upon your post. My husband who turns 70 this week was diagnosed with a genetic mutation called Loeys-Dietz Syndrome about 3 years ago. This condition causes aneurysms. He is scheduled to have an EVAR AAA repair on 10/8/25. It measures 5.2 cm and the vascular surgeon at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee stated that the old guideline of waiting until 5.5 cm has been lowered to 5.0 cm. We are terrified to be honest especially me. Your experience is encouraging. I hope my husband’s surgery goes as well as yours. Hope you’re still doing well.

I had my procedure at Froedert also! The Vascular Surgeon was Neal Mansukani. He left, and now I have Dr. Dyer who monitors me once a year.
