What's up with the pain medication
I'm not sure if any members are experiencing this butI am. I am a chronic pain patient. I'm seen for back pain a long with many other issues.
I get a prescription for morphine , used twice a day for 30 days. That medication has been out of stock for over two months here. I also have had problems with 10/325 hydrocodone. They limit my prescriptions to 120 per month. It's also difficult to get. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Please advise.

Saliva is EXACTLY what I shouldn't take. It is energizing and my central nervous system is dysfunctional, putting me in fight flight mode.
Indica is recommended here. I was in the medical Marijuana program years before it was legalized in my state.
I have a Masters Degree in Social Work, 40 years but e we aren't doctors here. We shouldn't be posting drug recommendations.
I'm sorry, isn't that Exactly what you're asking? For medication recommendations. Pardon me for offering advice from my personal experiences. I'm also very sorry for not knowing your personal heath history. Would it be better if I said, in my opinion?
My apologies
Yup. I feel you. I have been in pain mgmt over 20 years (have terrible bones/arthritis). Always been an active person with a zest for life but since being cut down to 90mme can barely move some days. Had to choose between long acting morphine or oxy. Since the cut of morphine my life has changed drastically. I go outside only once a week to run errands, otherwise I’m stuck home at 58. What’s gonna happen as we age and they allow us to suffer even more.. livid about so much of this nonsense. I am now relying on cannabis which I don’t even like but use it to make me settle my butt down at night when I really want to be doing fun things with my friends. I am thoroughly disgusted by the whole situation. Wishing chronic pain on some of these evil folks. I’m not even a drinker and now I’m having a seltzer at night to help with the pain. I pray I die before I can’t stand it anymore. Sorry for your pain. CDC messed things up with their since revised guidelines which nobody even realizes changed. Medical professionals should be able to prescribe as they see fit on a case by case basis not some random guideline that doesn’t even make sense. Ran over. ❤️
A very good and very old medication is meprobromate . It's really the only thing that helps me with my chronic neck /shoulder /upper back pain until they can find the underlying, if it's even possible. My doctor refused oxy /percocet. Will have to see what the neuro says in 9 days...
Can you tell me what sativa is? Is it a kind of marijuana?
I think so. I don't know why. Im sure someone can enlighten us.
Good question.
Your doctor is teating your pain with an allergy drug. I do not see the benefits of this medication as opposed to an opioid. Its also highly addictive, and a whole page full of warnings (just like opioids) I would see a pain management doctor.
I dont see your current doctor helping you.
Blessings, and let us know!
Unpleasant? How about horrible!!!
"Pain Management Doctors," and medications... Methadone, Oxy, Fentanyl, Codeine, Iramadol, THC, & Meprobamate?, My pain management has gotten difficult thanks to government regulations, retirement, different Dr's shuffling me back and forth with referrals, too many opinions, different ideas, and a system that's not working well in my case. Don't forget Medicare and/or Medicaid and a variety of prescription plans. Need to find a Doctor and figure it out soon, GOOD LUCK!
My now retired doctor, commented often about the CDC, and attempting to work around their restrictions. Problem now, is finding another Dr willing to do the same, and manage new regulations changing year to year. YES, "Medical professionals should be able to prescribe as they see fit on a case by case basis."
