Hi I am 76. I am having Sigmoid surgery 8-5-20. I almost died from infection, severe diverticulitis back in April. I have bad RA. I am so scared to have the surgery but the Dr. said up to me. I am taking a chance on it rupturing if I don’t have the surgery. I read where so many people seem worse now after having the surgery.
My Dr. told me I could go awhile maybe even the rest of my life it not bother me or may rupture, not make it to the hospital.
I am so scared. I usually house back real fast but this one has me scared.
Would love to hear from you. Be blessed,be safe!!
Good morning:
After 2 years colon resection and part of my colon remove. steel experienced the twinge down left on surgery. I learn it's happening when I eat dry meat, pork shops or beef. Supposed I can't eat that because is to dry and heavy to pass if you doesn't have a gallbladder like me and don't have those enzimas and acids to destroy this heavy meat. It's uncomfortable but I used the konsyl and my always pepermint tea and the anoying pinch and twinges gone. My pepermint tea I drink all days was because it's help a lot to no get infected and works for me.
I have them all the time in same area. My doctor says it is nerve pain and it will eventually go away. I had the same thing done on Jan.27 I was not as fortunate as you in recovery I am just now starting to feel a little like my old self. Too much to talk about to type in. Just say it has not been an easy journey for me. Hope it goes away usually no a heating pad or moist heat helped me a lot ! Best wishes to you
