Yes! I’ve been on letrozole for 5 months and have lost hair (now very thin all over), gained weight (15 pounds) on formerly slim body , and developed edema in feet and legs that has also resulted in spider veins, varicose veins, and purpura on legs and feet. Oncologist is unsympathetic. Will prescribe one of the other AIs but says I might be changing “nuisance” side effects for “serious” side effects. Discouraging!

I can sympathize. Also gained over 10# in 1 week but was told exemestane doesn’t cause it, just redistribution of fat to the waist and difficulty loosing so don’t know why the sudden gain. Only able to stop the gain by doing 24th hour liquid diet. I have recently started with the edema in lower legs and feet so haven’t discussed with oncologist yet - next visit I guess unless worsens, then will send note for callback. Have already been on Anastrazole and don’t really want to try Letrazole which is only other option. So I stick with this, argue about the side effects and explain if I’m depressed, it’s because of this medication and adding another with same side effects isn’t logical.
