I don't understand how this works because I responded yesterday to this post and don't see it now. Anyway, I had terrible results from Reclast myself - very sick for days nausea, high fever and swelling ankles many days letter, change in my magnesium level in my body and lots of aches and pains. But, I wanted to comment on the hearing loss - I did not have that from Reclast but had it years back from Forteo use - I have Tinnitus and have hearing loss - now wearing hearing aids and did not before it started while on Forteo which my doctor took me immediately off of after that started. We have tiny bones in our ears and those were affected as must have been the case with you as well.

I agree that this site is hard to figure out, although I am grateful to Mayo for hosting it. But I actually did see your post yesterday.
And when I originally checked this site looking for serious long-term problems people had had with Reclast, there were plenty of reports of joint and other pain and dizziness being the prominent ones.
From what I can tell, there’s something seriously wrong with the system by which the FDA requires drug companies to report and quantify post-marketing problems that might not have been detected in the original clinical studies. The onus seems to be on patients like us to alert the FDA individually (and you have to wonder how effective doing that would be, especially at the resource-depleted FDA…) or to organize a class action suit.

Any suggestions, anyone?
