Evenity and side effects: What helps joint and muscle pain?

Posted by rjkesal123 @rjkesal123, Feb 13, 2024

Hi All,
I received my first Evenity injection two weeks ago. Everything was going well, did not even have injection site pain. But the last couple of days I have had joint and muscle pain especially in my neck and upper back, Lower back and arms. I've read the drug peaks around 7 to 14 days. I am wondering if this is normal, has anyone else experienced this and if these side effects subside? Is there anything you take before or after the injection to relieve this pain? It is very uncomfortable. Thank you!

I took arnica 200 just before my 1st injection and had no ill effects apart from slight bruising at injection site. I’m approaching my 2nd jab crossing my fingers toes etc for the same outcome.

Can you please share the specific Arnica product you took and the dosage? Thanks so much.

Arnica 200 5 pellets literally just before the jabs! Plus my small prayer to Evenity: “ do all you need to do, and nothing more. “

Has anyone read that there are indications that after six months of Evenity you reap 90% of the effectiveness of the medication?

from what I've read, Evenity builds bone for the first 3 mo & then sustains the bone density the last 9 mo.

I just had an appointment with my Rheumatologist and was told that Evenity builds bone each mo. I was considering stopping after my eight month but went ahead with the ninth. I'm still not sure about the tenth. I'm in a lot of pain due to OA coupled with the bone and muscle pain from Evenity. Considering acupuncture to help with the OA so the pain isn't as severe.

That's helpful. My third injection is next week. I'm not enjoying this Evenity journey, either.

Are they insuring that the Evenity is not cold before injection? It is much easier when it is not too cold

Thank you. How long does it need to be out of the refrigerator. I show up for my appointment, and they probably grab it from the refrigerator.

They do a blood pressure and pulse before so that gives it time to warm up.

Probably not.
Typically is about 5 minutes of holding the infusion in hands to warm them.

My infusion is just like getting a flu shot.
No burning and pretty quick
