Hi, I feel your anxiety and pain regarding this horrible problem. I have commented on another site about C Diff and the problems I have had since I picked it up after a colonoscopy in 2015. Off and on until a fecal transplant in 2019. I was free of the issue until 2024 when it raised its ugly head again for some unknown reason. After testing and another colonoscopy to rule out other issues, I decided to go the Vowst route instead of the colonoscopy fecal transplant. So far so good. I took the Vowst in March and so far have been C Diff free.
I had been on Vancomycin almost constantly during that time. Not all probiotics work. I have tried them all. Sometime they do more harm than good. I was taking Florastor for years. I believe it did help for awhile. Each persons gut microbes are different, that's why trying to find probiotics that fit with your gut microbes is difficult and expensive. Most don't make it out of the stomach acids. Florastor is one that does.
If your C Diff becomes more than you can deal with and keeps coming back, look into the Vowst. It's expensive but it can be a life saver. Good luck 🙂

Thank you very much for your insight with this problem. I have been miserable for many months. I will ask my dr about the fecal transplant. I have tried many probiotics but they all seem to make my problem worse. I have tried 3 different types and my gut just not like them. I have been eating yogurt to put some good bacteria back in.
Thank you again for the information. I really appreciate it.
