Isn't that the starting point for all those Sensible people who claim their lives not as what Someone tells them how to live but what They Want?

It's Your Life -- Live the way YOU Want.
Or, you'll beat yourself up -- to no avail.

Of course we all live in a natural world, so there are constraints. But it's Your Life -- first and foremost. Live It YOUR Way. What are you waiting for?

I appreciate your words of wisdom, but being nicer to myself seems impossible. I think my feelings do track back to childhood, I don't remember much about it. I may have PTSD. but you know, for a person who self doubts a lot, it's a lot harder to be nice to themselves.

Peace,
GS

Baby steps are a pleasant way to manage a healthy type of habit. Many small steps can also arrivd at a destunation. Extend a timeline to suit your way.
Many remember that childhood phrase about treating others how you're like to be treated. If a friend needed some support you'd likely do what you could. Treat yourself the same way. Make it fun at times. Do what you enjoy. Little things help a lot. Laugh everyday. If we're our own best friend we're giving ourselves a great start. All the best to you. ❤️ 💙 💜

That is good. No one is perfect. Look at the expectations you have of yourself and others. I find my expectations of myself and other people are usually unrealistic. Give yourself a break.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think it's good that you can post here. Like some others have replied to you, I hope you can add an "for instance' example. Even a few is helpful. People obviously do care. I can relate to your couple statements as they are too.

Have felt something like that at various 'cross'streets also it's sort a like reading a book or watching a show & getting to a point where you just feel like, okee dokee, time out. Just an example. 💜
