I used to worry about that, too. Most of the time most of people aren't thinking what we think they are. I have found that out many different ways. Most people spend most of their time thinking about themselves. I'm afraid that I do that. The only people who count are the ones who respect us. The rest are just A***oles when they show their disrespect to others. I don't care what those kind of people think about me and you shouldn't either. Think for a moment: are they worth it?

Try to find a way to have a bit of fun. Don't react to bad people, try to respond appropriately if needed. Many years have mellowed me and helped in my struggle with anger and questioning myself. I still have a lot trouble with those kind of bad thoughts about myself, but not so much about others thoughts about me. Fight your own demons, not theirs.

If you can find an old show called, "Kung Fu," starring David Carradine (probably not spelled right). His ability as a Shaolin (spelling?) priest inspired me to start meditation to be like him, many years ago. You might like how he handles bad guys! Not always in violent ways, but..................

PS. Ginnysnow, some people try to upset others for amusement. Don't react, as I mentioned. They should get bored and try tormenting someone else who will entertain them. Don't make those devils smile by over reacting.
