Collagen for osteoporosis?
My friend's medical doctor has her take collagen for her bones. I decided to try it and wondered if anyone knows more than I do about this.

Live well labs changed the name of their collagen to Live Conscious. I have taken the grass fed beef version for years….the bag is purple and white. Almost every third part seller has it online. I get mine directly from Live Conscious.

I would love to hear about this as well. My highest score is my femur. Good luck and keep us posted!
I ONLY HAVE Osteopenia rather than Osteoprosis but what hurts the
most is the Bursitis in my knee. Any suggestions? I am doing the exercises
the phys. therapist recommended but I don't seem to be improving. I take a multiple & caltrate. K
I’m looking for nutrition information as well. Collagen? What year was this book
entitled 'The Healthy Bones' Nutrition Plan and Cookbook by Laura Kelly and Helen Bryman Kelly. From?
Another suggested to me was
https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/57322/preventing-and-reversing-osteoporosis-by-alan-r-gaby-md-foreword-by-jonathan-v-wright-md/
But the print date was 1995 and I feel that might be too long ago?
Yes. Though it’s hard to read and catch everyone’s suggestions
Print date was 2016. They recommend that we supplement only until such time as we make our own nutrient dense intake. They also recommend gelatin and homemade bone broth as opposed to taking collagen supplements which I happen to agree with. Until I'm up and running and my kitchen stocked I'm going to be supplementing with Better Bones Builder. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it agrees with me.
I take Native Path collagen daily. My doctor says it's a waste of money. Does anyone else take this product for bones?
I found this clinical trial that shows increased BMD (5-8 % increase) by taking Fortibone collagen peptides. The trial runs for several years. Here is the link;

I use OsteoNaturals Osteo collagen pep that contains the Fortibone collagen
Whether you take this or not, consider making your own bone broth. Put a variety of bones in water with a couple of tablespoons of vinegar and cook overnight in a slow cooker. Use as a soup base or just drink. Natural collagen for free!
I am taking AlgaeCal collagen which contains the recommended amount of FortiBone. It has a 79% five-star rating on Amazon.
