Huff technique is very uncomfortable

I am with you. At one session I was so nauseous. I haven't used it since which is not good either.
Also, the albuterol I am suppose to be taking twice a day makes me shake so much I can't function. I plan to reduce that dose and see what happens.

There are alternatives to albuterol that cause less shaking. Just let your docs know and I'm sure they'd be happy to change it. It's a pretty common issue.

I'm surprised at the comments about huff coughing. How about trying out the Autogenic drainage app?. It coaches one thru the deep breathing then huff cough fairly gently, I think. It has choices of time with 2.5" being the shortest.

Oks. I was shaking really bad and my heart was racing and pounding for a few hours after my AC routine. It changed when albuterol was changed to levalbuterol which was suggested by my allergist. My pulmonologist agreed and shaking, heart pounding/ racing stopped. So ask your dr and try. Best wishes
