I had bone pain in big toes 3 years before being diagnosed with ET Jak2. I've been on HU for almost 5 years now platelets in normal range, still have bone pain in big toes and down my shins. Can't take NSAIDS because of ET, and tylenol does very little to relieve. The pain is mostly in bed at night and sometimes wakes me from sleep. Also voltaren doesn't do much. I'd love to find a good pain reliever

Hello friends! I suffer with pain in many joints ! Degenerative disc, shoulders, hips , sometimes big toe , I take an anti
Inflammatory medication every day , it works , I know because when I forget to take this , the pain wakes me up durning sleep time !
The medication is MELOXICAM I TAKE 15 mgs ! I told my hem/onco
And cardiologist that I can not stop taking this because I need it to make my pain tolerable so I can function!!
CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT! I learned that chronic pain makes life miserable!!
So speak with your doctors and ask about an anti inflammatory medicine
Good luck ! I must take it daily!! Bless you all Anna

Are you still on HU . Just wanted to know if HU stops after platelets are normal or HU continues life long

Besides you even if any one can share their experience on this
