Gosh, I didn’t know which one of these posts to respond to! They all sound like me over the past 35 years with pain management and inflammatory reactions! I was always running to the doctors for all of the problems which everyone above has been suffering. I asked for all the Auto immune RA test they were always negative. But it FEELS like it was an auto immune disease. They would constantly tell me it was OA. All my x-rays are just loaded with OA. They didn’t look beyond the OA. I absolutely have Degenerative disc disease and scoliosis. I absolutely have connective tissue disorders and various neuropathies radiculopathy. However, after 35 years I have happened upon a couple miracles one from this group. Someone might think I work for the ZAZZEE company but I don’t someone here recommended the tart cherry capsules of theirs on Amazon for $20 and that got rid of all my inflammatory joint pain reactions. Turns out I was having inflammatory reaction from gout for 25 years. I was tested and my uric acid level was high. I asked to go on the allopurinol medicine and it became perfectly normal and my inflammatory reaction vanished. It was truly a miracle for me. The Celebrex has not come out of the closet. I have a lifetime supply, lol! The second smaller miracle was a couple weeks ago. My A1c, for which I have been managing for 20 years which changes to my diet finally stop being controlled by changes to my diet and the vitamin D. I take every day (5000 IU). My A1c went from 5.5 to 5.6 and it was flagged as abnormal. I demanded that since it was abnormal that we try a medicine. Because I am super educated about nutrition and I couldn’t make one more adjustment. I was put on metformin. It turns out that a lot of my body problems, aches and pains and lack of mobility was stemming from insulin resistance. Since diabetes runs in my family on one side, an insulin resistance on the other, I have been acutely aware of what I need to do with my diet, but it wasn’t enough at age 68. I can’t tell you how much better I feel at age 68 then at 40 I am not 40 anymore And I do have degenerative disc disease which causes me to have sponsored surgeries and joint replacements. The weather changes absolutely bother me. I am so much better than I was at 40. It’s crazy. I do walk twice a day and I do ride my stationary bike, stretch, and lift light weights. But my attitude is now amazingly improved. I take 5 mg of Percocet 3 to 4 times a day for 20 years so I can perform my exercises and I have to remember I’m 68 years old and to not expect the 30 years of degeneration and arthritis is going to somehow miraculously vanish. All the many topical and all the many pills sit here untouched to remind me of my journey. Always keep looking and always keep your head up so you can keep your eyes open for another opportunity to feel better!
After Vioxx was taken off the market, I took Celebrex. Not nearly as effective as Vioxx at least not for me, but it was helpful. I think I may ask my doctor for a prescription. The arthritis in my hands and neck is getting more painful in the aspirin and Advil isn't cutting it anymore.

I have taken Celebrex for years and it’s been helpful. I take 100 mg AM with food and 100 PM with food. I need to be careful with stomach irritation, but if I also watch what I eat, I’m okay.
