Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed reply, @rosemarya! Yes, I'm still using a wheelchair, while trying to do more (assisted) walking with my walker. My arthritic left knee needs to be in a brace to keep it from buckling, which complicates things a bit. I was tolerating it before my stroke, but now it's slowing down my progress because it's bone on bone, and I seem to be feeling it more.
