Long standing history ofGI symptoms, nausea, epigastric & abdominal pain & bloating, no appetite, wgt loss and general fatigue, resulting in not leaving the house. Had every diagnostic test and symptomatic medication available, all negative results, since 2008.
Finally figured out that my symptoms worsened following abdominal surgery ( Da Vinci & laporoscopy ) with symptoms matching abdominal adhesions. Now trying to find surgeon to to do laporoscopic exploratory abdominal, since adhesions match all symptoms.
Any thoughts?

Thank you!
How can I locate a lab that does the Hydrogen Breath Test for SIBO?
Hello @april12mayo and welcome to Mayo Connect.
I see that you are looking for a lab that does the Hydrogen Breath Test for SIBO. Have you talked with a gastroenterologist? This type of doctor might be able to help you.
Have you been having symptoms that indicate SIBO?
We look forward to getting to know you.
Teresa
Yes. I have had the upper gi, test for pylori, gluten intolerance test , gallbladder test, all normal/negative. My symptoms seem like SIBO. My gastroenterologist said we don't have the HBT test in Tallahassee.
Hi Teresa,
Does Mayo Clinic do the Hydrogen Breath Test for SIBO?
I could not find an answer to your question, I suggest that you call Mayo. Are you currently a patient at one of the Mayo facilities?
Teresa
No, but I live in Tallahassee not far from Jax. My Dr said we don't have Hydrogen Breath Test in Tallahassee.
You might give the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic a call and see what they say. Here is the number for the Florida Mayo Clinic, Mayo Clinic in Florida
