Anyone have discomfort or pain when tapering off prednisone?
I am currently on a 3 dose of prednisone. I have some shoulder discomfort that goes down my back on either side. The left side is worse than the right. Anyone else experience back issues? It tends to go away by 3 or 4 pm. Thanks to all! We will get over this thing!

I did order the Tylenol for arthritis and took the two pills recommended…worried about that, I avoid mds as much as possible.
It did help me get to sleep, solid sleep for 3 1/2 hours, off and on after that with an additional Tylenol.
I do feel more rested this morning and tackling some chores…very hard to vacuum, takes both hands.
I appreciate everyone’s advice and hints. Thank you…
Ty for Arth……Glad it helped…my Dr said, as per the bottle, can take up to 6 per day….like you, I avoid meds too. I have never taken more than 4 in a day.
I'm down to 4 mg Prednisone from 15 mg starting in January. I am determined to be done with this medication I really don't feel well. I do not have the terrible pain and stiffness which I initially had but I'm very fatigued and achy. I don't know how to decipher whether I'm experiencing lower Prednisone or feeling PMR or adrenal deficiency. Very hard to sort out for me. I do plan to stay on 3 mg for remainder of the month
I totally understand your feelings.
My feeling and experience is that, better to be in less discomfort so the body can relax and recover a bit, not to mention your psyche.
With that said, consider taking OTC med “like Tylenol for Arthritis “ to help while tapering. Is it worse in the morning or late afternoon? I was/am able to take 2 “as needed”. APPROVED by my Dr.
CHECK WITH YOUR DR first. Good luck
Thank you everyone. I no longer feel alone in all this pain/prednisone chaos.
