I am really interested in seeing what y ou ended up doing. My bone specialist wants to put me on Prolia as a longer term drug some time after Evenity. Since I am in my 50's, I will need to be on osteoporosis drugs for a long time. I don't want to start any medication until I have a better idea about the long-term treatment plan.

I am in a similar situation but I am 77.

Mine wants me to do Prolia as well. I've read here that some doctors only do two shots (one year) of Prolia then move you to Reclast. I would be open to that but haven't discussed it with my doctor yet. We're not going to discuss next steps until my 11th shot.

I am not willing to go on Prolia long term. I am 64 and anything could happen. Worst case scenarios include the medication not being available in the future for any number of reasons, or me developing an issue on it which requires me to stop. I don't want to be left in a situation where I face a catastrophic rebound effect.
