Thanks so much for your comment. One of the doctors leading the treatment plan said he wouldn't recommend chemo to his own father .....strong comment and taken to heart by me. He included quality (or non quality) of life issues for his reasoning. Haven't had any matastices (sp?). No further imaging has been taken. The plan is to do a CT 3-4 months out from surgery. I'm concerned about the remaining pieces of sarcoma and its potential of spreading. PT has been great, strengthening the quad muscles and arm muscles. Pain has been localized to my left hip (no relief yet) and lower back (original complaint to my PCP in December). The MRI taken then showed a mass in my pelvic area.

Hello Chuckeg.....as you are trying to avoid chemo for treatment, have you considered dendritic cell therapy? Immunocine, headquartered in Cancun, Mexico, has been treating cancer patients for several years. Their approach utilizes the body's immune system to train it to attack your specific cancer cells. It might be worth further investigation.
