What was your experience with a pain pump?

Hi my sister got a pain pump in 2020. She has the synchromed 11. She has been having lots of pain. Doctor has been giving her the same amount and medication since she started. She explained her extreme pain but still same.

My pump is the Medtronic one. I did trials by injections, first with morphine(no help), then hydromorphone(worked great). After getting the permanent implant in 2023, I have had the pump adjusted up a number of times with no help. I then decided to have the output decreased with the thought of having it removed. After doing some research, I discovered that, even after all the increases, the pump's output was still somewhat low. So, I am in the process of increasing it again. I am hoping to get to a therapeutic value soon. I hope your sister will be firm with her doctor and request a boost in the pump's output.
