Squamous cell cancer of nasal septum

My doctor has referred me to an ENT specialist. I have had a scab in my nose that bleeds bright red blood when removed. I ignored it till now. I now have a sore right at the edge of the nostril that is very sore. I can feel a section the length of my first finger that is a light, flat scab further into my nasal cavity. When that is removed, again the bleeding starts till I stanch the flow with a tissue.
I am a healthy woman, 91 to be in April and have never had a serious, life threatening illness. Having my nose removed is a bad dream if the ENT finds cancer present. The appointment is two months down the road, sad to say.
Is there anyone out there who is or has suffered with this type of cancer? Your input would be most welcome

@emmur16, you said your ENT appointment was two months out. Did you call to see if you could possibly get an earlier appointment? Will you do us a favor and make sure to give us an update after your are seen by your ENT? Just checking in on you! 🙂

Yes and thank you. My daughter called the office of the ENT and I have been put on the list in the event that someone cancels their appointment.
