Vestibular migraines
I am dizzy every day...everything I do causes worse dizziness. It seems to be getting worse with age. I am 75 yrs. Old. I consider myself with a disability as I can do absolutely nothing without being dizzy. Some days I can't shower, all exercise masked it worse, walking is best but still a challenge. I have been told there is no cure.
Does anyone else suffer as I do?

Thank you! She has me on lyrica and has increased the dosage from 25 mg to 50- I guess we’ll see if that helps at all.

1 ReactionHello @alc69. Sorry to hear of this constant dizziness as that is hard to live with. If I was having intermittent dizzy spells as in migraines that had progressed to constant symptoms, I would be concerned about progression of a disease process and look for more diagnostics, not just addressing the symptom of dizziness with medication. Just knowing how it took 4 months for my head and neck cancer to finally show up on various diagnostic tests despite constant pain, I know how important it is to continue to pursue a cause. For me that meant seeing 3 different ENTs and finally requesting a referral to a large medical center out of town. Be persistent. You are your own best advocate for your health care. 6 ReactionsI’ve been seriously dizzy and lightheaded for over 2 years with limited relief from the current drugs, Nortrypline and clonazepam. The fatigue as a side effect is debilitating and I just keep getting worse. Approximately 35% of the time I am in bed all day since I’m too unsteady to walk far. I do all the vestibular exercises, eat well and drink electrolytes and water and I’m just going downhill. It was diagnosed 22 months ago as a vestibular migraine and told it shouldn’t last long . Alas, it is and I’m declining. Anyone have any ideas?
