I've had the same diagnosis. One Orthopedist said I need shoulder replacement. I got a second opinion and the Orthopedist said I didn't need shoulder replacement. I do have intermittent shoulder pain which is a nuisance. I'm getting a cortisone shot tomorrow. Doctor said I could have it done four times a year. My internist says that some data suggest platelet rich injections can help with shoulder osteoarthritis. I may have that done first since it is much less expensive than stem cell injections.
