After Evenity

I will have my last injection of Evenity in two weeks. I don't want to have a Reclast infusion because I have had up to 5 in the past. I am concerned about starting Prolia for the remainder of my life. I am 70. I am considering Forteo because my insurance will pay for that rather than Tymlos. Any suggestions? I can't take bisphosphates. They wreck havoc on my stomach.

Pami , Prolia will help with increasing bone density. After one year of Evenity I too needed more bone. I have had one injection so far of Prolia and shortly after my second injection with have a DEXA to see if I will move onto Reclast to lock my gains in.

I just had my DEXA after being on Prolia for 1year. I am so disappointed my T score in my spine went from -3.3 to -3.2.

I have been diving into these threads because I just finished my year of Evenity with good results but still in the low threes everywhere. From what I have learned from my drs, Reclast would not be the right next step for me because while my gains were good, 20%, I am still over 3 and 56 so should try to build more. Prolia would be an option but I was thinking I should wait on that if the other bone builders might help. I have read of people doing Tymlos then Evenity but fewer the other way around. But two respected drs seem to think it’s safe and worth a try. It’s extremely unlikely I would see the more significant gains one would if it was their first drug, but the hope is that I will see more than with Prolia. Dr said he has seen up to 5% gains with Prolia after Evenity and expects Tymlos could be the same. I don’t know if I am just kicking the can down the road and should just go with Prolia.
