Scott,
You have brought up an interesting point. I have triggers around the first of August for a time in my life that I realize I have not fully grieved for over 35 years. It’s the change in the sun’s intensity, the end of the growing season, and some internal thing about getting ready for winter - like a squirrel storing up berries. I start cleaning out the pantry and restocking. But, I only realized recently that I had not fully, completely grieved a soul sucking loss all those years ago. This time of year just hits me in the back of the knees like it was malaria.
Just cry, just grieve, then do it all over again.
Peace, Cheryl

Cheryl - Your words perfectly describe the grief that appears unexpectedly. Sometimes it's like day one, isn't it? Good for you for letting it out - in the long run, shoving it back in the closet just doesn't help.
