It's not too late to start chemo. All my tumors have shrunk after 5 cycles of doxorubicin and trebectidin. On on the 6 th cycle now. Then go on maintenance chemo. I'm going to celebrate 74;in October.

Hello JeShaw......
Happily noting your progress on your chemo journey!! Wishing you continued success!! As it's a difficult therapy, did you experience any significant side effects? Please email me if you care to discuss...

Thanks so much for your comment. One of the doctors leading the treatment plan said he wouldn't recommend chemo to his own father .....strong comment and taken to heart by me. He included quality (or non quality) of life issues for his reasoning. Haven't had any matastices (sp?). No further imaging has been taken. The plan is to do a CT 3-4 months out from surgery. I'm concerned about the remaining pieces of sarcoma and its potential of spreading. PT has been great, strengthening the quad muscles and arm muscles. Pain has been localized to my left hip (no relief yet) and lower back (original complaint to my PCP in December). The MRI taken then showed a mass in my pelvic area.
