Anxiety can contribute to your symptoms but there may be something underlying that should be further investigated.
If you are female and young, some doctors don’t take you seriously and chalk everything up to “being in your head.” I fired a doctor who treated me as a hypochondriac when I had spinal cord compression injury causing many symptoms. Make sure to advocate for yourself. You know you best.
Was there any trigger to your breathing issues? Were you sick with a virus recently? I had trouble breathing after each of the Covid shots in 2021 and my X-rays were clear and my doctor thought it was allergies (but I was never diagnosed with allergies and never had this problem before). I ended up having chest pain and woke up several times feeling like I was having a heart attack (actually learned later in ekg that I did have an old myocardial infarction)! I took baby aspirin at the time in case it was. My young son was scared (I am also a single parent and can empathize with you on stress, little sleep, not able to care for yourself easily, etc.). You may want to get your heart and cardiovascular system checked to make sure you do not have any issues contributing to your breathing issues. You may need ultrasound/echocardiogram/MRI to rule out things.
I ended up getting diagnosed with sleep apnea due to extreme fatigue during the day. Do you sleep okay and do you ever wake up gasping for air?
Have you seen your primary doctor to have extensive bloodwork done and have you ever considered medication for anxiety? It helped me to take an antidepressant due to panic attacks and postpartum depression. Your list of medications seems long for someone so youn without an official diagnosis. You may want to review this list with your local pharmacist to see if there are any interactions causing heightened anxiety and if you should consider stopping any (some may be overlapping).
Make sure to get your iron levels checked (full panel, not just CBC) and a full panel for your thyroid. This can contribute to your symptoms. If you have heavy menstrual cycles and if you are vegetarian or vegan, you may be iron deficient/anemic and low in vitamin b12.
I was not sick recently.. didn’t have any major life issues or stressors.
I don’t wake up gasping for air, but I wake up non stop through out the night. Not sure why..
Recently (last 3 days) I’ve started having nonstop twitches , like heartbeats in my limbs. Those wake me up at night. Currently as I’m typing I can feel them in both of my calf’s, both arms and a few random other spots. They came out of nowhere..
My primary said he can’t help me and I have to see pulmonologists, which I’ve already seen two. I take Prozac (started a week ago) it doesn’t do anything.
I feel like I’ve done everything.. tried everything and can’t figure it out. I have lost all quality of life. I have an echo for middle of September and a ct of lungs in a few weeks but the doctor put in notes ‘doubt we will see anything’
I’m scared, alone and don’t know what to do anymore. I haven’t been working, not eating, I force myself to sleep the second I’m able to, I don’t want life to be this way.
