Y-90 liver cancer treatment: What's your experience?

I have HCC which are 3 small tumors in the back side of my liver. I just went through my mapping last Friday 8/22/25. Haven't spoke to doctor yet but have appointment to get the Y90 bead treatment this coming Friday 8/29. Mapping area insertion area was right groin. Area is bruised black & blue this morning. Hope it's alright. This whole ordeal started from a physical my dentist wanted me to do before some implant work. My blood test showed higher AST,ALT level than normal. Ultra sound was next and then MRI and then Biopsy. Saw mass on left adrenal gland. Biopsy matched liver biopsy. Had that mass removed in July and now going after primary cancer being the small tumors in the liver. Wish me luck.

My husband had his mapping last week and is scheduled for the Y90 on Sept 3. He also has 3 tumors, 2 small ones and one large one in the front. They are doing 3 chemo's (one each week) prior to the procedure. From what I understand, this will continue afterwards as well until they do the second Y90 procedure. Are you doing chemo before the procedure?
