White Button Mushrooms clinical trials.

Hi, not sure if I should post this here, but I will remove this if requested.
I've been talking to some people here and did research on white button mushroom for prostate cancer and here are the findings that I found.

I'm not suggesting anyone do this, but I found it interesting at the results of some of these tests. Consider the sources of these and do your own research and if you find anything to add for or against these treatments, please pass on your results.

Part 2 The brown mushrooms are also called cremini. I do enjoy watching the TV ads for the mushroom coffee equivalent. The animated mushroom reminds me of 'topo juju' (sp?) on the old Ed Sullivan show. There was also a funny cartoon where a rich little kid barks out at his Mom: "What Shitake mushroom again this week!?" It would be nice to use AI on 3D incarnations of the various known chemicals putatively beneficial, Then they could collide them with various potential targets and see if there is key to open or close thee lock.

https://mushroomwowhub.com/difference-between-white-and-brown-button-mushrooms. The possibly useful chemicals may be common to both. The WBMs also have darker 'fins' beneath the all white caps. If the prep merely homogenizes them there would likely be some color bleeding.

There is a vaccine being studied that targets a multi cancer common biochemical pathway. Hats off to the U of Florida researchers,

I just read about that vaccine research you mentioned, and it sounds very promising…but here’s my question:
Researchers claim that the vaccine stimulates a protein (PD1) inside the tumor so that the body reacts to it as if it’s reacting to a virus. It revs up the immune system and it fights the cancer.
But recently, it was shown that a Covid or similar viral infection could, in fact, wake up dormant cancer cells, and cause them to proliferate.
So how is revving up the body’s immune system to fight cancer as if it were a virus DIFFERENT from the body’s immune system actually fighting a virus? And in so doing waking up a long dormant cancer?Seems like completely contradictory results to me.

Hey -- for anyone who ordered the white button mushroom powder: What is the color of the powder you received???

I ordered mine from Bulk Supplements and the color is something close to cinnamon brown.

This surprised me so I went to my favorite A.I. program to check it out. The reply: "A brown color is a significant concern suggesting white button mushroom spoilage and/or quality degradation." Evidently the powder should always remain white.

Question: Has anyone else experienced instances of brown-colored powder?

Got this from Google AI "Yes, white button mushrooms change color when dehydrated, typically turning darker, often a beige, golden, or brown hue. This color change is a natural process influenced by how they are dried, not a sign of spoilage"

Nice catch! The immune system is quite diverse. About 30 years ago Jerome Groopman, MD of the then New England Deaconess Hospital (now Beth Israel Lahey) said that the human immune deficiency virus (HIV) will prove to be the Rosetta Stone of the Immune System. If you look at the ads for drugs on TV ( between the 'Morgan & Morgan' ones) many end in ab. (antibody). So, the cytokine storms during SARS-2 pandemic were a reaction to a novel virus in those who were by genetics or were otherwise predisposed by demographics. I am sure the researchers were aware or certainly have now become aware of this potential.

[PS: I remember reading in High School about the discovery of the Rosetta Stone. But it wasn't until i walked passed it in London's National Museum did I get and understood its real importance. The Louvre's armless Venus de Milo statue required a double take when I first saw it, this was a long time before the soup splashers thought the Mona Lisa looked better with a corn chowder wash] PPS: Even useful vaccines when given to a sick child can prove catastrophic.

Virus wakes up dormant cells in different way that your immune system. Immune system has many levels of operation and that is why you have different lines of "white" blood cells PLUS immunity on pure biochemical level. Our immune system is supposed to kill off cancer and it does ! It is only when our immune system is not doing its job that we get a cancer, not to mention mets.
Immune system works on very fine biochemical level and can quiet easily distinguish what is a friend and what is foe WHEN it is healthy, strong and functioning correctly.
When it is weak or overactive - we have a problem. In the first case all bad actors proliferate without being eliminated, in another our body overreacts with high level of inflammation that can be deadly (cytokine storm) or one develops autoimmune disease.
Why COVID activates cancer - that is now question that needs further research. It could be that inflammation is so great that our immune system is so overwhelmed and stops keeping mets in check ! OR, some substance that is exuded during that level of inflammation is a motor oil for cancer DNA. Don't forget that COVID virus actually attaches to prostate membrane !!! Now, we have whole line of viruses that are known to CAUSE cancer ! They invade our cells and insert so called oncogenes in our DNA and our cells become cancer cells. The most known one is herpes virus - one that causes genital warts and that is why there is a vaccine for that virus - to prevent uterine and penile cancers.
I think that calling immune-therapy for cancers "vaccination" is wrong, and of course , confusing for general population. They should come up with different terminology . especially nowadays where so many people are anti vaccination.

Yup, a lot going on all at once. In my lifetime I’ve seen a complete shift in reasoning; viruses - and even bacteria (h. Pylorii for instance) are the root cause of many cancers and other illnesses.
When I was first exposed to the oncogene concept almost 50 yrs ago (ugh!) it was believed that it was something you either had or didn’t have and that it somehow got turned on by a virus.
But now it’s pretty well understood that anyone’s genes can be altered by the HPV virus. It’s that heterogenous layer - the individual’s unique immune system - between the virus and the gene that makes all the difference in who gets sick and who doesn’t.

At my virology class (40 years ago) we did learn about viruses causing cancer and herpes virus was discussed as an example. I refused to share a glass with anybody since than, not that I did that even before that revelation lol. Cold sore virus is closely related to genital herpes virus and actually oral sex can spread first one to "lower" parts, and all in all - I thought "what is safe is safe" lol. HSV1 and HSV2 are very closely related and I wonder if the HSV1 will turn out in the future to be cause of a mouth cancers ? ANYHOW - here is a list of known cancer causing viruses :

Oh man, you said a mouthful?🫣. In our dental practice we saw increasing numbers of young men with oral cancer - tongue, throat, palate.
All were happily married for years - some with teenaged children. It was devastating news on many fronts; firstly, they had cancer - some Stage 4 - and even worse some of the wives perceived their mate’s diagnosis of HPV (a sexually transmitted disease) proof positive of an extra-marital affair!
Thank goodness the maxillofacial surgeons and oncologists had the job of explaining the years of dormancy AFTER initial exposure to the disgruntled wives before the divorce lawyers got involved.
The men were all bewildered, unable to fathom how any of the nice girls they had dated could have given them this disease.
Of course, the gynecologists are in the same boat as well, explaining how one of those nice guys passed on a virus which had resulted in cervical cancer. Glad I’m retired - who knows what’s next??
