Hi I’m 67 years old and I’ve been suffering with numb and burning legs, pins and needles in toes, and aching lower back. Had issues now for 12 years. Gradually gotten worse over the years. Been seeing a neurologist for years. Many MRI’s, spinal tap to test spinal fluid, EMG’s, infectious disease Dr, pain management, no one has been able to give me any answers. Getting off my feet is when the symptoms really kick in making bedtime very difficult with the pins and needles in toes. Taking max pregabalin 200mg 3 times a day. Pain management, all they could do was recommended being prescribed 4mg of tizamidine (muscle relaxer). Within 20 minutes I’m sleeping. Thank god for better nights! Just seeing an orthopedic Dr and he is the first to tell me I have arthritis in lower back and hips. Most likely cause of discomfort in lower back. Going for full spine MRI and new EMG. I will go from here, not going to stop looking for answers other than you have neuropathy and have to learn to live with it.
